U-N-I Toward Equality (UNITE)

Dear Brother,
yeah you!
The one clinching that cold pistol,
boiling blood running through those veins.
Your murderous efforts are all in vain.
There’s a pain plain to see as mothers cry a sea . . .
The foe attempts to flee.
See, look!
The crooks got his hooks in you and me . . .
You’ll go to jail and he’ll go free-

A strugglers pride is a struggler’s tie . . .
U-N-I-T-Y is how strugglers survive.
Being aware is being alive;
So, did you know it’s do or die?
The beef aint beef between U-N-I
Sky is the limit.
We live together,
gotta raise our kids together.
Better open your eyes,
freedom and respect come through U-N-I-T-Y

We share the same space, same conditions, same weight
Politicians bullshittin’ like we’ll never awake.
We wear the same face, same race;
We runnin’ late
Lookin’ for the same break, eating from the same plate
Yet and still we fail to see the real;
geeking off da drink,
spazzin’ off them pills
Livin’ like villains, right?
Kill or be killed.
Feel what I feel,
see it how I see–
The fight of all fights is to UNITE

Still can’t fare well with welfare;
two jobs, no healthcare,
who the hell cares?
Not my congressman,
nor your ‘hood’s mayor.
Their souls burn with their only concern being warfare.
And these millionaires let millions bare
the burden of their meal fare.
Forever, I will care!
So I still wear my black band for the black man and that white girl wit’ dem ten heirs

Don’t let the struggle kill you
Let it build you.
Same shit, just a different milieu;
Same tears, just different tissue.
Everyday is a dog’s fight,
so with all your might, give it a hard fight.
It’s just you and I.
We gon’ win,
but we must begin
the universal trend
for U-N-I-T-Y

You’ll know your brother by his struggle
