Your Self-Image

What reflection stares back at you from the mirror? Let me guess, you only see the head, arms, torso, and legs the creator provided. Look deeper and tell me what it is you see. Your self-image is more than just the physical. It is the make-up of everything you are as a person. Hivyo, who are you?

Every last one of us are unique, beautiful and different from each other with a specific purpose. Sooo many of us parade through life with false personas and do not truly embrace ourselves. Sooo many of us search for answers to our problems and overlook the true source– binafsi. One needs to understand that self is the question and the answer to every problem that needs solving. We will continue to be lost if we continue to look at everything and everybody else for what actually lies within.

I came to realize that many of us cannot accept the truth and do anything and everything to run and hide from it. This is sooo true when it comes to a person’s identity. Sooo many of us are sooo scared of being our true self. We fear rejection by our peers and become double agents and harbor thoughts and take on lifestyles completely contradictory to our true ideals.

What is more important, oppressing your true self to fit in and be liked by the masses, or embracing your essence and being everything the creator made you to be?

I ask once more, who are you?
