Shot Dead Live on Camera

police-shooting-protest-riots

A continuation of previous post “Disdain for the Law

We keep on hearing about new ways to train the police and body cameras. Well these guys are shooting brothers dead LIVE ON CAMERA!! What can be the difference between a civilian camera and a police camera? The only thing different is who is in control of the camera.

In regard to the engagement between a police officer and a “nyeusi” suspect, there is no difference. At any time a police officer can wake up on the wrong side of the bed and feel threatened by some black person or some unassuming young black kid. Baada ya yote, the police officer is such an upstanding member of “his” community with all honor, so honorable in fact that he approaches an unarmed black person whom he has not met a day in his life and has zero knowledge of this person’s background or criminal/non-criminal record, and is already ready to shoot to kill . . . Not shoot in the leg, not shoot in the arm, all death shots! What will stop police from switching off their body camera before they shoot?

I have seen the police deal with wild animals with more humility than they deal with young black men. I have seen it broadcast on the news several times where a suburban resident called the cops because there was a bear in their backyard. They call for help, but do not even consider hurting this wild and potentially vicious animal . . . The police show up along with animal control officers cops. It usually ends up with the bear being tranquilized, not killed, and hauled off back to its natural habitat. Young black men are shot on site with lethal ammunition and left dead in the street for hours. Animals are treated as if they have more constitutional rights than my sons or daughter does . . .
