Why do I support Colin Kaepernick?

I know how hard hard it is for a black man in America today. From the drug usage to the disunity and violence, I see of the effects of the psychological warfare waged on us. I see how we are turned against each other and how we encourage disunity among ourselves based on what we were taught by the very same people we believe can help us.

The minute a person agrees to work with the government they destroy lives and it’s all in self interest. The mere fact that he can not handle the consequences he manifested he chooses to incriminate the people close to him. This is unacceptable. We can do better! We can fix the community and end mass incarceration without selling each other out within the community.

So many of our brothers and sisters are in prison. Now that black males are over-incarcerated they have no choice but to target black women. Female incarceration has multiplied. And for all of you mothers who complain, you have the ability to make a difference. For you are the ones who most often raise the next generation. The black man is removed from his child’s life just so the system that America developed can work.

That’s why I agree with Colin Kaepernick taking a knee during the National Anthem. He is standing on principle. The fact that he is not supported by his peers is disturbing. It shows weakness. If you have a national stage, and truly believe we are one, you should take no offense to what he is doing. His claims have merit, so why go against it? Stand with Colin Kaepernick.

In addition to mass incarceration and police oppression, we can also speak about the fact that the school system that’s set up in America mainly teaches us primarily about European culture with little acknowledgement of other ethnic groups here that need to learn who they are and where they come from. To deny one knowledge of self and  subject him or her to European history is to hold him or her inferior. This sort of marginalization is the psychological plan of the American school system. It needs to change.

Hopefully, people awaken and we can one day be equal and share the same resources to create a productive economy instead of slaving for one. Only when there is real and lasting change, should one pledge allegiance to the flag of a nation that still permits slavery in its Constitution.  Don’t believe me? Read the 13th Amendment.

You already, the struggle continues….
