Yang masih hidup Jalan (Bahagian 2)

In this new world the goal was the same, use the land and people for all they were worth to amass as big and strong an empire history had ever seen. Racism was employed to establish a false sense of superiority, increase separation and implant the ideal of one race being blessed by God and having all. The other race is meant to be sufferers and endure sub-human treatment and forever be outcasts, locked out of enjoying that which its own hands built. In order to understand the headstart the designers of Italy and France have on the fashion industry today, one has to understand the days when millions of bales of cotton and silk were being exported for top dollar from the hands of slaves.

Growing up in the streets, if there was a teacher among the ignorant, they would have told us that there was nothing to praise about Tony Montana. He acquired wealth and was a junkie of his own supply, functionally illiterate and died a miserable death.

Then for the real life gangsters, brothers who aspire to be like Al Capone, John Gotti et. al., – for you guys who do not know, ya boy John Gotti was an open racist who thought of black dudes as flunkies and jokes. As soon as he went to prison some black brother punched him in the face over a situation. The first thing Gotti did was run to the racist white Aryan Brotherhood to kill the black brother.- lagi dan masih, you’ll see every city has a black kid poor as ever who calls himself Gotti. You might as well call yourself Hitler too. Fuck, why not?

Walau bagaimanapun, it is clear none of us completely comprehended Capone and those like him didn’t even actually refer to themselves as gangsters. They seriously identified themselves as businessmen and aspired to have a piece of the American Dream. All the dirt they did was done in pursuit of the American Dream. They wanted what the pilgrims wanted. They wanted what Columbus and his companions wanted, exploring the new world. They wanted what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. died preaching about and wanted for his people. These so-called gangsters didn’t want to be hunted and incarcerated to create a culture of death and incarceration. They didn’t want to tattooI’m a gangster on their foreheads. They didn’t want anyone outside of them to actually know how they acquired their wealth, while they passed as legitimate citizens of this new world.

Jadi, let’s get some perspective here. If the whole idea of gangster was to make it outside of the system but to one day successfully integrate into the system, where did blacks get stuck? We have to be stuck. No one can say anything otherwise. If dudes can earn their money, millions, legally, but sell lies, painting themselves as drug lords and gangsters, clearly, we have a misunderstanding going on
