Pardon Me: Obama Commutes Sentence of Chelsea Manning

Pada Januari 18, 2017, just 48 hours before Barack Hussein Obama was prepping to relinquish the Presidency of this nation, I received a faxed letter from the Office of the Pardon Attorney on his behalf that stated in part, “The application of Roderick Pavon Sutton for commutation of sentence was carefully considered in this department and the White House, and the decision was reached that favorable action is not warranted. The application of Roderick Pavon Sutton was therefore denied by the President on January 18, 2017. Under the Constitution there is no appeal from this decision. As a matter of well established policy, we do not disclose the reasons for the decision. Di samping itu, deliberative communications pertaining to agency and the presidential decision-making are confidential and not available under existing case law.”

Coincidentally, around the same time I was denied commutation of my very lengthy sentence, then President Obama would eventually grant a controversial pardon to U.S. Army Private Bradley Manning-a man who now masquerades around prison as a so-called transgender who goes by the name of Chelsea Manning after his tax-payer subsidized so-called gender transition while incarcerated at Fort Leavenworth Kansas.

The former President has commuted the sentences of 1,715 federal prisoners. 568 of them were sentenced to life in prison, due to the extremely biased and unjust drug sentencing laws that were put in place in the ’80s and ’90s. Of those 1,715 individuals who received a commutation, in my humble opinion, U.S. Army Private Bradley Manning is the ONLY one who clearly DID NOT deserve such compassion.

Dalam 2010 U.S. Army Private Bradley Manning was accused and then charged with the treasonous act of providing over 75,00 mostly classified military and other government documents to other government agencies as well as WikiLeaks. These documents were eventually leaked for the entire world to view. Manning was eventually sentenced to 35 years for his treachery, espionage and treason. A charge so serious that at one time in this nation it was punishable ONLY by death! But after serving a measly 7 years of his sentence he was pardoned by Obama and will be released from Fort Leavenworth military prison in May 2017.

Let ME be clear, I applaud Obama for becoming the President who commuted the most federal sentences, mainly in his final year in office, but let’s not get it misconstrued, Obama DID NOT advocate on behalf of the African American community as much as he advocated on behalf of the Hispanic and the so-called LGBTQ communities. Obama relentlessly sympathized with and embraced those two communities like no other President in this nation’s history. At the same time he continued the centuries old practice of ignoring the most marginalized and underrepresented group in this nation, just like the forty-three other Presidents before him. Malah, the guidelines for one to be considered for clemency were racially biased from the start. But as far as most of these feeble minded African Americans are concerned Obama could do no wrong. He was the so-called first Black President of a nation that was barbarically stolen from its native inhabitants and then literally built up by the backs of people of African descent who weren’t considered human beings!

So pardon me if I come off as possessing animosity toward former President Obama!
