Life Is Full of Obstacles!

Webster’s Dictionary defines obstacles as “something that stands in the way or opposes.” Throughout our existence in this world we will always be faced with various obstacles, trials, and tribulations. If they’re not dealt with properly, they could lead to a state of discouragement, or settling for less, or even giving up.

In my opinion, it’s not the obstacle that’s the problem. It’s more about how we deal with the problem and whatever else is standing in our way. I’ve noticed that throughout life’s journey we, including myself, tend to take the easy way out.

Whatever the obstacle may be, we continuously look for the easiest route to our destination. Most times it’s not the way we should go. If we look for shortcuts in life there is a high possibility that we will come up short in life.

As I look back over my life and some of the decisions that I’ve made in regard to obstacles, I gave up quickly because I just wanted the easy way out. I wanted to be successful but there were obstacles in my way. The main obstacle was a lack of education. So I took the easy way out and began selling drugs, which has now taken so many years out of my life. I am guaranteed to never get these years back.

A lot of times if we just continue to push forward through the adversities and stay focused and think positively and believe in ourselves we would overcome any obstacle that life throws our way.

A quote that you should add to your arsenal is: “What does not kill you will only make you stronger.”

I believe this quote can be used as a very important tool in our lives, but only if we are able to learn from the experience. I use it myself to help move forward from the many obstacles that I have encountered.

Obstacles help build character. Embrace life’s obstacles as a challenge. At the end of the day they wiull bring out the best in you.
