Keep Fighting: A Letter to the Youth

To the youth: never give up on your dreams and aspirations Keep fighting. Fight for your rights. Fight for opportunities. Fight for justice. You are the change that you want to see, so it’s on you to make a difference. When I say misguided, I say that respectfully because that’s who you are. Misguide means to give misleading direction or to lead astray.

A lot of these so-called leaders have done you an injustice by selling out for selfish gains and then blame you for the conditions for which you live in. They tell you if you start acting like you’ve got some “sense” then “they” would take you serious. These same so-called leaders want you to believe that if you only change the way you talk, the way you walk, and the way you dress, you would be exempt from prejudice and racial profiling and ultimately be accepted by a racist system that will never see us as equal.

Acquire knowledge my misguided youth because that is the key to open all the doors that will get you where you want to go.

The struggle continues!

Fight on!

One response to “Keep Fighting: A Letter to the Youth”

  1. Real justice starts on the street with social justice. Conning kids into acceptance of the status quo only perpetuates the fraud. Know and exercise all your rights, demand them.
