It Is On Us As Black Men

Black-men-prison

Why is it every time I turn on the news or read the paper another black man has been murdered?

It’s crazy that the ploy was put in place over 500 years ago is still affecting today’s society. Everybody says we came a long way since slavery and segregation and that racism is basically nonexistent. I beg to differ. There is a basic onslaught on the lives of black men. We are being incarcerated and killed at an alarming rate without sympathy or empathy on the oppressor’s behalf. So the conscious ones among us who know it is genocide have to enlighten the people and ignite the flame that will start the revolt that is needed for our people to survive. How many Trayvon  Martins, Jordan Davises and Mike Browns will it take to realize that the hunt for black lives, especially black men’s lives, is in full effect?

First, you have to understand the importance of eliminating the male figure from a family and community. The man is naturally the leader and protector of his family. There is no coincidence that they invest more money in prisons than they do in education and employment in the black community.

It is on us as black men to recognize this and learn and teach our young brothers to stop falling for their setups.

How is this possible?

First, one must gain knowledge of self. Then one must understand his worth and build self esteem and establish self-respect. Then one must learn and implement the morals and principles that our forefathers set in place for us.

We are made in the image of the creator so we are meant to be here.

Let’s break this cycle by gaining knowledge and teaching our young brothers to be men so our people can flourish once more and forever.

Ask yourself this: How is it that the first race of the first and most abundant civilization became the least and the last?

We were the first scientists, the first doctors, the first civilization. Our science, medicine and remedies were sought after the world over. Our homeland was thought of as the land of Gods! People traveled from everywhere to visit Ethiopia. How did we go from that to where we are now?

The oppressor is knowledgeable of our history, accomplishments and the contributions we made to advance the world. The reason why they are so powerful is because they robbed our ancestors in and of their homeland, exploited and continue to exploit our people in the New World, while using the knowledge of our ancestors as the foundation to their societies and keeping us far away from these truths. So we remain inferior. They set us up for death and incarceration so we cannot regain our proper place in the world as leaders.

We must “be the change”. We must be the leaders our women and children respect and want to follow. Then we must shine that light of excellence on the rest of the world.

Today, the oppressor is nervous and fearful as his seat of power and empire teeters on the brink of destruction. Thanks to new technology information is flowing more freely and events that once occurred in the dark, and were unbelievable to many, are now being documented for all to see. The eyes of truth are increasingly focused on the world’s injustice. An awakened and enlightened global population who understands humanity is one will not stand for the oppressor’s deadly and despicable divide and conquer tactics. History teaches us that no oppressor will relinquish power. #RaiseUP
