Mikor megbocsátás kezdődik és dehumanization megálló?

mandela-forgiveness

“Ismerve nem elég; azt kell alkalmazni. Willing nem elég; kell tennünk.” -Johan Wolfgang von Goethe

“Továbbra is emlékszik a börtönben, mintha velük együtt a börtönben, és azok, akik bántalmazzák, mintha ti magatok szenvedtek.” -Zsid 13:13

This process for people of color starts the moment we are born.

Rasszizmus késlelteti a kibontakozás, a határtalan lehetőségek rejlenek az áldozatok, corrupts its perpetrators, and blights human progress. Recognition of the oneness of mankind, implemented by appropriate legal measures must be universally upheld if this problem is to be overcome.

-The Bahai Universal House of Justice, 1985

Dehumanization starts early and childhood is changed. Kids, especially African-American kids, are walked out of grammar school in handcuffs for things that kids have always done. Society begins to create the pathology and hatred for people of color begins to form. A média közrefogja a színes vonal bevételek.

I truly believe the only real solution is a spiritual one. I believe we have to return to the Genesis creative process wherein we must recreate Adam and Eve, breathe the breath of life into them and thereafter place them in a spiritually protected environment.

I look at the insanity of humanity, our children killing children, and adults in the multiplicity of their religious beliefs who call for their blood from a jury box and even the pews of the churches in America. I am reminded of a James Allen poem:

Those types of leper colonies are mostly a thing of the past. But a new type of leper and leper colony have taken their place in America. The new leper colonies are prisons which have sprung up like Starbucks.

Often I ask myself, how is it that we as human beings who claim various faiths, by which we swear to live by, continue day-after-day, month-after-month and year-after-year, continue to judge and think oppositionally against those who have fallen?

There are those among us who truly and sincerely seek redemption, reconciliation, restoration, and forgiveness from their victims, their fellow man, közösség, and society at large, including those who fill the various places of worship whose tenets are love thy fellow man, neighbor.

Do you hate us so much that you won’t forgive us?

Is it wrong to look for someone who can provide a glimmer of hope that can prove us wrong? There are still people with forgiving and nonjudgmental hearts who haven’t icily taken on attributes of those they say the incarcerated have. What will it take for us who have been deemed lepers inside and out to truly be restored? Kérem, I await your answers. For I among the many would love for the healing to begin!

In all sacred writing the Creator is the basis of forgiveness. Thus as a Hebrew Israelite, Yah (Isten) is the love in which all illusions disappear. Love undoes what fear has produced by releasing the chains of the bondage to ego-based beliefs and positions. Love removes the properties of revenge, kapzsiság, false pride, csalás, and the need to be right. Thank you Yah (Isten) for realigning my trust with you alone.

When you go beyond ideas of right or wrong, we enter a field. That field is oneness. Its seeds of peace, renewal and love find fertile ground in our souls. To forgive is to allow the seeds to grow.

To all victims and survivors of unspeakable crimes and events that have changed your life or touched a friend or loved one, it is my prayer you one day forgive out of a deep need to heal yourself.

I leave you with this prayer that I pray, and I hope you adopt and utilize:

Thank you Yah (Isten) for the wisdom to understand that forgiveness is the key to happiness! As an unforgiving mind I was always torn with doubt, confused about everything, afraid, and angry, wallowing in misery of every sort.

In my unforgiving mind I saw no future that could ever bring me anything else than more despair with no chance to escape.

Thank you Yah (Isten) for showing me the way out! Thank you for teaching me that by eradicating all beliefs in the worldly concept of judgment in any form; do I forgive myself and my brothers with me!

Thank you for your help in awakening from the dream that I am mortal, fallible and full of sin.

Thank you for strengthening me that I may let go of bitterness and hatred so that I can move forward.

Forgiveness is not an event. Forgiveness is a process. And in forgiveness you can find peace.

As I was writing this, I presented a question to some of my comrades here in Stateville Correctional Center.

My question: In your walk toward change and redemption, what is your hope?

Toney az 31 years-old serving a 40-year sentence. He says, “My hope is that no other male of African descent endures the anguish I had to and no other mother of an African male endures the heartache of losing a son.”

Saladin az 49 years-old serving life without parole. He states, “I am a Muslim. It hurts deep inside when I see the terrorist acts going on around the world. Islam means peace, so it’s been distorted. I’ve changed from then I was into the man I am. The Bible says to change garb. I used to be despicable and morally bankrupt. I couldn’t see then, but now I am a vision of redemption. I wish I could talk to the younger me, but I’m content with Saladin. My namesake was a great man. Someone saw greatness in me to have bestowed an honor such as Saladin on me. I have big shoes to fill and hope to change the narrative about prisoners.”

Mr. Fehér az 41 years-old serving a sentence of 42 év. He says, “It’s not about me anymore as I continue to grow and move toward change and redemption. My hope is to reach the masses, and I pray that everyone accepts change for growth. Positive change is good! Imádkozom, hogy mindenki felébred, és rájön, az egyetlen ember, ami tartja őket vissza az előrehaladás őket.
